Platte County Fair

We had a fun time tonight! We took Charli to the fair! The weather was great, and since it was "opening night" we thought there would be less of a crowd. We took Charli to see the horses, the petting zoo, chickens, bunnies, exhibit hall, and lastly the sheep! She liked to look around and danced every time we passed the karaoke stage! Please be sure to look at the pictures below! She was doing so well with all the animals - and most of you know that NOTHING (well almost nothing) can scare Charli! Anyway...she and her daddy were looking at a few sheep and he jumped up on the fence to get closer, Charli was okay with that. It was the "baa-baa" in her face that she didn't like! She jumped and let out such a scared and sad scream, we had to laugh! Chad took her out of her stroller and calmed her down, sat her on his knee to try looking again - another one "baa-baa'd" at her and she started to cry again!! Poor thing, she has been a bit 'sensitive' all afternoon, I think she was tired. I felt bad for her. But, she quickly got over it and went on to be her happy excited self!!

this guy isn't so bad...

and, I don't even mind this guy so much...
you are starting to freak me out...

SERIOUSLY...GET HIM AWAY FROM ME, NOW!

I was using your site to check on Will tonight and noticed the update!! Wow...if that does not bring back memories!!! When Emily was a little older than Charli, we took her to a fair, she was holding my husbands hand walking and I was pushing the stroller...she was a little nervous around the animals and all of a sudden a sheep hopped up on the fence and gave her a great big "BAAAAA" she jumped so high and started screaming "stroller, stroller, stroller" My husband and I still giggle everytime we take the kids to the fair!!! Thanks for the memory. God Bless and Good Night!

That is so funny!!!! Savanna did the same thing last night at the fair. She actually had a billy goat climb up her stroller last thursday at the Zoo in omaha, we thought she'd be over that by now. I am so glad that Charli is doing so good. Can you believe your little baby is almost one:)

Those pictures are too cute! It looks like you guys have been living it up!! Our fair isn't until September so we've got a couple more months. Good thing too... Who wants to go when it's 110 outside... hehehe

Our little David was a little cranky yesterday too... I thought he might be teathing since he's only got 4 teeth and I guess he's suppose to have like 6 by now... He turns 1 in a week... I can't wait.

How cute, guess we know that she will not be begging for any sheep in the near future!!

I hope she got a taste of the "famous lemonade:" that keeps her parents returning to the fair each year!!

Brenda, It is good to be able to read your blogs again. Missed them when our Internet wasn't working! You continue to share your story and Charli's progress so well. Thank you again. We love you! Is Charli up to a KC visit yet? We don't have any sheep here!
