hmm-drmmm

I haven't posted anything for awhile I guess - not too much to report! Things are going well for me, and baby is doing just great! We had a dr. appointment lastnight. Heartbeat was back in the 150's. Dr. said we are playing a waiting game now! I am 34 1/2 weeks now, so I have a little over 5 weeks left. If Chad's predictions are right, that means in 3 1/2 weeks he could be a daddy...does that seem right!! I have several things to do before baby comes!

My feet are pretty swollen, and that is making life a little less than comfortable!!! I have two pair of shoes that fit me now! One pair is my black and pink flip-flops, and the other is my black crocs! Given that I love to wear brown...I am up a creek!!

No weight gain from my last appointment, how exciting is that!! I mean really!!!!!

Next appointment is in two weeks, then I am going weekly! Stay tuned... :-)

baby shower !!!!

Well - I am a moron and I didn't ask anyone to take pictures of the shower with my camera :-(....and the pictures that mom emailed me won't load for some reason.

This is a picture of me with two friends from college that came down from the shower, Gina (Lincoln) and Andrea (Kearney)...it was a great to have them there!

The day started off with us three running to Tractor Supply to get a tractor battery for Chad!!! (real baby shower-ish huh!!) Then the three of us went to Big Apple Bagel and had a nice visit! We drove around town and I showed them the new things in town since they have been here last.

We got to the shower right at 2:00...Amanda had things done so cute!! She had a huge banner (about 5' wide) hanging on her porch that said "BABY SHOWER"...so people knew they were in the right spot!! The shower was in her basement, for space. She had about 4 tables set up with cute streamers, baby balloons, and candy on the tables. She found lots of cute things with the same 'Baby Shower' theme, cute poke-dots and baby feet...it was really cute!

I think about 27 people were there. The food was great! Mom brought a great fresh fruit salad (which I was hoping for!!) and I think Amanda did other things - BBQ sandwiches, deviled eggs, macaroni salad, and cupcakes!!

Played a few games - guessing different baby objects in a basket, number of cotton balls in a baby bottle, guess 12 items I would get, and the size of my waist (cut a piece of yarn). My mom brought a cute flower pot with flowers in it - she explained to everyone that it is the pot she got flowers in when I was born...she kept it for 25 years!! How neat!! Then, Amanda asked everyone to write a note of advise to me, or a note to the baby...those were fun to go back and read! They are now in the baby book!

We got a lot of neat gifts, bath stuff, toys, clothes, diapers and wipes, etc. I think we received several things off of our registry - I haven't looked to see what else we need to get. Mom gave us our pack-n-play, Chad's aunts bought the monitors, and I also received the vibrating chair, and activity mat. I didn't get my boppy...but I am not giving up hope!!

Guess I could write about the shower for days!! It was very fun! I am sad that it is over, because I know it is a once time thing!!!!!! Amanda did a great job, and I am very thankful for the things that she and Jen did to have it!

On a side-note...we have our carseat now! How fun!
