a year of Sunday's

I would love to have a year full of Sunday's! The kids were great in Church, as always, and had a good nap to re-fuel! After nap we loaded up to headed to see the goats and ride 4-wheelers! Charli is a natural on 4-wheels! She could ride for hours I think! Her daddy kind of enjoyed sharing that with her too I think :-) We ended the night with supper at grandma & grandpa's house, which Charli got to help make!

Next week is a RFL benefit concert hosted at our church on Saturday night. If you are in the area and interested in attending, let me know!!

don't let the face fool you - he had a great time outside! He is big into faces right now and "crinkle nose" and "fish lips" are big right now!!

"give me rocks mom!"

what a show off!

"wanna race dad?!"

I think Harper had much more fun with me :-)

snapshots of life

sometimes we all just talk too much, and don't pay attention to what is in front of us. Tonight I am not going to do that. I am going to let these amazing moments speak for themselves. You can see the love in Charli's eyes when she looks at Harper, and Harper adores her. God has given me far more than I deserve, which I have talked about before...none of us get what we deserve - we are blessed with all we have.

Relay For Life

The following is a letter I will be sending out to some, those who I have addresses for! Please take a minute to read it. Please consider making a donation to our team. We have such passion for what we are doing with the ACS and are working extremely hard to make finding a cure a reality in our lifetime!! It takes a lot of work, a lot of dedication, and a lot of faith...but it WILL happen! Please don't think that you need make a large donation to make a difference. I will say this for the rest of my life, if ten of you can make a $10 donation, that $100 will make the same impact as someone who is able to donate $100!! Each dollar is important and life altering for someone out there...someone we may never know, or that someone may be one of us.

Contact me to find out how to submit a donation. In the coming days I will have my Relay webpage set up and an online donation will be an option as well. I just haven't gotten there yet!

Thanks for all of your support in our fight!

Relay For Life of Platte County

Pawnee Park – Columbus, NE

Celebrating a world with more birthdays!
CELEBRATE * REMEMBER * FIGHT BACK

Like 2008, in 2009 our Relay For Life team, Charli’s Angels, was the #2 team of the county thanks to you and your generosity! Thank you for helping to change and save lives with the over $20,000 that was raised by our team! With your help we are certainly making an impact around the world!

2010 has been filled with joy all around us! In March Charli received great results from her scans, and was given the “all clear” for a FULL YEAR!! This year the relay will help mark her 3rd year of no evidence of disease! This is all thanks to the help and sacrifice people have made years before we were down this road. That is why it is so important for us to help now…down the road someone else will need our help more than ever.

Raising money for cancer research and advocacy is like taking out a life insurance plan…it is something we would like to never use, but know that someone we love may need this help and greatly benefit from our hard work.

Your donation to the Relay For Life will help bring HOPE to people currently battling cancer, and to everyone who may face it in the future. None of us know when we will be touched with cancer next. Through the efforts of the Relay For Life you can also remember someone who has been affected by cancer by honoring them with a luminary.

Funds raised through the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life are used for research, advocacy, education, treatment, and also patient and community services. As we all know these cannot, and will not, happen without awareness - so we really need your help!

We invite you to come and enjoy the celebration of life and as we honor those who have been fighting so hard and fight back for those who are not able. Together we are making a difference and changing the world…come enjoy what you are making possible!! THANK YOU, on behalf of those you will be helping who are unable to thank you themselves, for all of your to help find a CURE in our lifetime!

busy days and busy nights

We had a busy weekend, which ended with a "bang" I guess. Randy and family were up from Arkansas and we celebrated Grant's big first birthday! He had a swimming party, which his older brother, Cohen, loved!! We went out to the farm Friday - Sunday and the kids got to play together and burn a lot of energy! The evening ended with two sick kids at our house (and one sick birthday boy at the farm)...which was an event that took us well into the morning hours! Charli has a cold/cough which she is doing well with...she coughs a lot in her sleep but seems to be resting okay. Harper has an cold & ear infection and the cold seems to be settled in his eyes makes him looks a mess. So far he is sleeping far-far better than last night, the meds should help his ears and we will get this behind us, not soon enough! Having both kids sick at once makes everything a little less fun:-)

big sister can make some things so much easier now!

Harper tonight! You can see his eyes are glassy and pink..but he gives it his all to still be his happy self!

the three amigos! These are the only girls on the borg side, and they are so much fun together! such crazy hair after jumping on the trampoline!

Harper & Charli on Easter...impossible to get a decent picture of them together with so many fun things going on!

these kids were having so much fun with grandpa!

Harper didn't swim because we could tell he was not feeling his normal self...I am sure he will enjoy the water plenty this summer!

this is a picture of my dad as a baby...I have had so many people tell me that Harper looks like him! I can see my nephew Derek from time to time too...what a handsome little boy my daddy was :-)

no fair. we NEVER got to jump on the furniture when I was little...these kids get to do it all the time!! And, grandma and grandpa turn their head like they don't even know it's going on. PLEASE!!!

cheese-balls!!! Thumbs up if Brenda is the coolest! Yep...I knew it :-)

Harper got his first haircut Friday night. Boys are such high maintenance things with their routine haircuts!

Charli never gets tired of seeing Harper stand up! Each time he does it she get so excited like it was his first time! He pulls himself up to everything all the time, and each time she yells so I can see what buddy is doing now. She is so proud of him!
