Christmas Tradition!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! This weekend we had our "Taake Family Christmas" - it is so nice to have the family together!!! Sadly, many cousins are not able to attend because of their location, and a few from sickness this year - but we enjoy those we can make it all the same. This year we had it at a hotel because "the farm" is being remodeled...but it worked out so nicely! The kids had lots of "free" space to play in, and we had access to a pool! Some of the kids got to swim three times at their visit!
Probably the biggest "event" was the arrival of a SURPRISE Santa! Although, Dad will swear to his grave that he had nothing to do with it, I am not so sure!!!!! Either way, having Santa there was pretty special! Everyone got a nice festive candy cane, and he even brought Hershey candy bars for the big kids to enjoy!!! Big AND little kids got to sit on his lap and try to convince him of how good they had been this year!!
All for now...enjoy all the pictures!!
hat, doctors tools, and toothbrush...what else do I need!!

I was only around my BOY cousins for one day, and I am already trying to be "cool" like them!

I want daddy to wear a hat too!

let's go for a ride!

Charli, Macey, and Ryen sitting with Santa!

Bryant asked for more "adult" wishes!!!

I asked for a doll house :-)

Rachelle requested a plasma TV, I wonder if she will get it?!

Charli LOVED her toy CD player from Grandma...LOVED IT!

Dad & Charli before the party!

Charlie and Charli!

The "Borg" girls!

(don't worry Randy, you can have a "Borg" boys picture when you come back!)

ummm, who are you again?!

Hi Brenda,
We were so disappointed to miss the weekend, but James came down with the flu on Thursday and it just wasn't in the cards for us to make it. James is still not feeling well, so we definitely made the right decision. It looks like everyone that made it had a great time, though. James was very sad to miss seeing Peyton and Ron was very sad to miss out on his share of "Grandma's Rolls". :-) We definitely missed seeing everybody, though. Have a terrific Christmas!

Brenda,
On your link list, can you do me a favor and add a special gal for me. Her name is Kennedy Bougher and her site address is caringbridge.com/visit/kennedy1 She is 11 and fighting Osteosarcoma. She and her entire family are absolutely amazing. She frequently updates her journals herself, along with mom, and it is such a neat perspective to get the child's point of view.
Also, I want to clear up something with Ms. Charli. Was she given NED status a while back. I saw your N.E.D. post and wanted to assume but I have never quit praying for her health. If it is true, I would love to start praying prayers of thanksgiving.
Merry Christmas from South Texas, Sheila
