More importantly I wanted to raise awareness to an article on CNN today! It mentions NB and the Band of Parents who sold cookies several weeks ago. It also touches on other "rare" diseases. However, the word "rare" means diddly-squat to me and many others when your child is the one with the illness, that alone should not make it 'special enough' to NOT get the attention it needs. I think we need to eliminate the word rare, and then MAYBE people will want to fund research for it. I don't know what he answer is, but we need one.

Thats awesome! Gives good ideas on fundraising too! It is amazing! I like the line, never underestimate the power of a parent with a sick child
