Go Andrew Go!!!!

We had such a fun weekend!!

It start Friday night when Charli and I met the Preister side in Humphrey to eat while Jen, Justin, and Conner were back from Colorado! Brad and Chad already made plans to be in Norfolk at a hunting fundraiser so they weren't able to be there. But...we got to enjoy the kids talking back and forth! After we ate I thought Charli might have fun if we stopped by the football game in town, so we ran down there to watch a few minutes of the game!! On the heels of last weekends game in Lincoln, watching Andrew play, Charli started to chant "go Andrew, go Andrew!"

Saturday I got to watch the girls while Shawn and Rachelle went to the game in Lincoln! The girls had a GREAT time playing together...a GREAT time!!

Sunday we went back to the farm to see Randy and Kara! Again..the kids had a great time! Mom and dad, although they just added on to the house, do not have enough room for their ever-growing family!!!!

Enjoy the pictures!!

this is Charli's face when she is laughing at me -- after she locked herself in my car, WITH THE KEYS INSIDE!!!!!!!!

Charli was their little dolly!

what...a weekend!

What a great weekend we had!!

FRIDAY:
We were up and on the road by 4:30 am
6:00 arrive to childrens
7:30 get ready to have Charli go to have her CT
7:35 have a nurse tell us that there has been a delay in the first scan (Charil was #2) and it would be about 3o minutes.
8:30 I ask the nurse how much longer (Charli had been without food/water since 7:00 Thursday night)
8:45 they take her for her 7:45 scan!!
9:30 she is out of the scan and in recovery
10:15 Charli is still in recovery because she had a rough time AGAIN - her oxygen dropped into the 70's and she was holding her breath (aka, not breathing!!!)
10:30 Charli finally got into the room with us where she was not happy and had a rough time coming out of "it"
11:00 Charli suddenly snapped out of it and was all better! She started eating fruit loops and Cheerios and was ready to walk out of there!!

After we had been on the road for about ten minutes we got a call from her doctor saying that there had been no change in her scans, which is good news. We will take Charli back in six months for scans again, next time she will have an ultrasound which is so much safer for her little body, I am thankful. She will need to be sedated because she wouldn't sit still and tolerate the procedure, but as she gets older that will be something she should learn to tolerate with age!

SATURDAY
Chad, Charli and I took off for Lincoln!! We were very excited to take part in the Husker event for kids with cancer. We got there shortly after 1:00. We didn't get to see any of the "big" names because they were on the ride, and didn't get back before we left. Charli had a great time on all the jumpy toys (so did daddy!!), she got to ride mechanical bull, she got a tattoo, and stole everyones hearts as she walked around dancing to the live music! She was adorable! Around 3:00 we decided that since we were in town we should do something else fun too, and went to the Children's museum! She had a GREAT time - Chad and I both agreed that we have never seen her so excited for such a long period of time!!

After playing at the museum we had supper with Grandma and Grandpa Borg before going to Andrew's (my nephew) college football game! CHARLI WAS A BLAST!! She was so into the entire game! She got so into the game, it was great!! She didn't nap that afternoon and did not have one second of unhappy times, she had a big day and handled it well. She is getting so grown up!

Today we played it pretty low-key!! Grandma and Grandpa Preister stopped to visit tonight, and I was full of energy to show off for them!!

It is becoming painfully obvious to me that Charli is growing up :-(

Chad and Charli had a great time on this one, and did it many times!!

peek-a-boo mom!!!

at a horrible supper experience with Grandma and Grandpa Borg!! UGH, not a good experience that night...we waited 2 hours for hamburgers, which we took home to eat!!! NOT FUN!

Thank God we didn't have to move in this time, but Charli took her suitcase just in case I guess!

Aunt Vicki gave her two football stickers and she LOVED them...wanted them this morning too!

most important picture of them all

I have put off posting about tomorrow, because it meant I didn't have to think about it as much - weird I know!

Charli will have her scans tomorrow, which we expect good news from. Having said this, the fear and stress are still here.

We have to be in Omaha by 6:00 am, so it will be an early morning for Charli, she won't get to eat...but her scans will be fairly early so we should be okay! The last two times she had a really rough time coming out of anesthesia - low oxygen, low heart rate, low temperature, etc. I pray that we will have the solution to those problems, and have smooth sailing. Here's praying.

Around 7:45 she will be going down for her scans. Please say a prayer for her tomorrow - the news we hear tomorrow will change our lives...one way or another!

VERY IMPORTANT

I wanted to talk about this event coming up Saturday in Lincoln and Omaha to raise money for kids with cancer. This fundraising event will help fund kids with cancer to go to camp...as well as benefit Children's Hospital in Omaha. It sounds like an awesome day, and we can't wait to go down to Lincoln and volunteer at it!! WE ARE SO EXCITED!!

If anyone in the area can make it, be sure to find us...we will have our Charli shirts on for sure!! It will be amazing, so please if you are within driving distance, consider coming! It will be fun family entertainment!!

who can purchase a helmet?!!

So...Chad thought it would be a great idea to get Charli a 4wheeler. This was done without my knowledge and without my "approval" so to speak. He said that he expects her to have graduated out of this one and onto a larger size by the weekend!!!! Please everyone...say a prayer :-)

dad thought she needed to have a pull off against his truck! The funny thing is...her little 4wheeler had more power than that dodge!! Grandpa Preister...how does that happen?!!!!

Charli actually does a great job with going forward, backward, turning, and stopping!! I STILL think she is a "little" young, but I obviously lost this battle!!
